How do you stop an inactive DSC home security system from beeping randomly?

I paid for a residence about 2 years ago with a DSC home confidence complement commissioned by a provious owner. we have never activated a service. When we initial changed in, a complement keypad would incidentally beep 2x until someone pulpy any keys upon a pad. It stopped for a whilst as well as has proposed beeping incidentally again, though some-more frequently. It seems to go off a couple of times via a day, not during any unchanging intervals, though irritating sufficient to wish to slice it out of a wall (which might be my subsequent step). Again, dire a little of a keys seems to prove it for a reduced time. There have been no manuals or instructions for a complement as well as zero upon a desk desk pad to yield any advice.

without a programmers manual, the only thing you can do is disconnect the leads going into it. That in itself shouldn’t be too hard, and it won’t leave an unsightly hole in your wall, and may still dupe burglars into thinking you have an alarm system on you home. I hope this helps to save your sanity.

disconnect the power to it and remove any back up batteries it may have

If you open the keypad, you will see a small speaker inside. Unplug the two wires on the plastic clip and the problem will be solved without damaging the unit….in case you decide to ever use it.
