Did you give them plenty of water the day you planted them? If not, be generous with water now, provided your soil has good drainage. The flowers you planted are good with sun, so they should be fine in the sun as long as you keep them watered. Water in the late afternoons if possible.

As for hanging baskets, this is a common problem. The greenhouses plant them in potting soil that is full of vermiculite (the white stuff) which doesn’t hold water. They dry out constantly. I always replant mine with topsoil/peat moss since I hang them in a sunny location. If you don’t feel like doing this, just water frequently since most of what you pour on will just run out the bottom.

If all else fails, give the greenhouse a call. They can tell you what to do.

everything you touch dies! see a doctor

check the soil and make sure it is moist. The hanging baskets probably have a place for excess water to drain from the bottom.

If anything maybe not enough water. However, it could also be a problem if your front yard gets a ton of sun and that is drying them quickly. Get some plant food as well

well when you water them make sure water doesnt go on to the actualy flower itself because that can drown them and make them wilt. You may be giving them to water depending on how big they are usually about two cups of water for a big plant is good.

did you plant them in an area that gets alot of direct sunlight? they may be getting too much sun. you could also try to fertalize them because being moved from the container to the ground might have shocked them a little. try changing your watering pattern too. if you water everyday then cut it down to every other day. if only watering every couple of days then try to water everyday. good luck. plants can be finicky sometimes.

Well, if it hasn’t rained in a while (ie, a week) you should probably water them. Each plant likes a different amount of shade, water, sunshine, and type of soil, so it’ll take them a bit to adjust to where they are now. Just keep an eye on them! :)

Usually when a flower wilts it needs water. Try watering them and see if that helps. If it doesn’t ask the green house where you bought them for advise.

In my experience, flowers always wilt when you first plant them. It doesn’t necessarily mean they are going to die. As for watering, some like to be moist all the time, some like to dry out between waterings. Look up each kind for watering and other care information.

Dragon Snaps are common to wilt easily. Did you water in the plants you just put in? I wouldn’t attribute this to too much water since a plant needs a kind of water pressure to keep itself stiff. Hanging planters or any other kind of pot you should always water it until the water is flowing out the bottom of the container.
I’m leaning towards not enough water. After you water something that is wilting you need to give it 10-20 minutes to regain composure so to speak. I hope this helps and good luck with your Snaps!

Sometimes when you get plants from a green house and plant them outside, the difference in soil, and air temp can affect them. First few days you will notice that they wilt a little bit.
I would suggest get some Miracle grow for them all that will help.

checking the soil in the baskets, if it’s moist I would say it is fine, if it’s not to moist water.
I usually water my plants, any kind early in the morning, and again in late afternoon. Not saturating them in the water but just enough that it will get em through the day.
You do not want to water your lawn, or plants during the hours of 10am-4pm that is when the sun is starting to peak and gets hotter. It is best to do so in the morning, and evening. So I find with my gardens.
If it is raining hard. I would move the basket out of the rain to avoid being water logged.
Make sure the baskets have the drain holes in the bottom. Usually they do. to help excess water drain.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to you.

ps. You can go to the green house you purchased them from, and they can also give you suggestions on what to use and help your plants get back to a livelier look :)

Before I plant my flowers outside I take them outside for fifteen minutes the first day and increase the time in the sun so they adjust to the direct sun and I water mine twice a day, early mornings and late evenings.

Sometimes plants go though something called transplant shock. When plants are moved and the soil around the roots is disturbed, the plant can wilt and look very sickly for a few days. Hopefully this is your problem and it will remedy itself. Don’t be afraid to water lightly, too.

The hanging baskets are a bit of a worry. Here’s a good test to see if they need to be watered. Put your hand on the base of the hanging basket and lift it up a little. If the pot feels light to you, chances are it needs to be watered. Remember too that light and wind (as well as heat) are going to effect your watering habits. Be prepared to water daily. Most garden centers do.

    Best of luck to you.
