rent a house in america?

House Maintenance as well as Repairs
I am seeking to lease a residence in Lake Oswego, Portland. What’ s a elect payable, is a property owner obliged usually for structual maintenance/repairs, can we cavalcade holes in a wall for pictures,etc.

    If you go online to sites like livingchoices.com or realtor.com, you can plug in the city and state and find rentals with the terms.

    You will have to probably pay the first and last months rent up front, a cleaning/security deposit. If you have a pet, there may be a deposit for that too (if they allow pets). You will sign a contract for a certain length of time, some landlords rent month to month while others prefer to rent a minimum of 6 months to a year.

    The landlord is responsible for all maintenance and repairs. You will have to check with them regarding the picture holes, however, that is normal for people to want to hang pictures so I cannot see why they would object.

    Make sure you read the contract you are given carefully and ask questions for anything that you don’t understand or object to. Get everything in writing and do a walk-thru before you move in, checking off anything that was damaged or in poor condition and have the landlord sign it too. This way, you will not be held responsible for any damage you did not do.
