Permits are always a good deal. The realtor will be able to tell if things are changed from original. The realtor will also look it up to see if permits were done to ensure the work meets code. If no permits—- expect them to negotiate down. Spend the money and do it right to help get more money for your property.

If you move any electrical, gas and plumbing you will need a permit. If you are only doing cabinets, flooring, or counter tops you will not. Also if you change anything structural you will need a permit.

Depends which country you live in, here in the UK, you don’t have to apply for planning permission, to remodel your Kitchen,
Can’t speak for any other country

Call your city and double check!!! This could be a nightmare if you don’t.

Nobody can buy your house unless you can prove your specifications and permits. Don’t take the chance. Call you city building inspectors.

Depends what country you’re in. In australia you wouldn’t need to unless it involved major structural work.

It seems weird that you would need permits to do internal work like that but i don’t know the rules everywhere. If your worried just check with the relevant authority.
